Disclaimer:
Venus E Gen 3.0 Fundamentals: Nominal capacity 5.12 kWh (90% depth of discharge), 93% charge/discharge efficiency, 2 daily cycles, 365 operating days/year.
Tariffs: Night rate electricity €0.16/kWh, Peak load yield (avoided costs) €0.51/kWh.
Core Calculations:
- Usable effective capacity per cycle: 5.12 kWh × 90% = 4.61 kWh
- Actual energy output (discharge): 4.61 kWh × 93% ≈ 4.29 kWh
- Energy required for charging: 4.61 kWh ÷ 93% ≈ 4.96 kWh
Yield per Cycle:
- Day (PV charging, 13:00–17:00 → Discharge 18:00–21:00): No charging costs, yield 4.29 kWh × €0.51/kWh = €2.19
- Night (Night rate charging, 23:00–6:00 → Discharge 7:00–12:00): Charging costs 4.96 kWh × €0.16/kWh = €0.79, Net profit €2.19 – €0.79 = €1.40
Total Yield:
Daily €3.59 (€2.19 + €1.40), annually approx. €1,310 (€3.59 × 365 days).
Note:
Ideal estimation – actual yield depends on PV output, tariff fluctuations, device performance, etc.
Legal Notices (Germany)
To benefit from the simplified regulations for plug-in generation systems according to § 8 para. 5a EEG, the following limits apply:
- The total installed PV capacity must not exceed 2,000 Wp.
- The inverter apparent power must be ≤ 800 VA.
If your system exceeds these limits, the regular requirements of the grid operator apply. This may include, among other things, extended registration, a meter modification, or formal approval procedures. Please inform yourself about the locally applicable regulations before installation.
Registration & Installation:
Plug & Play solar systems can generally be installed and connected independently in Germany. Registration in the Market Master Data Register (MaStR) is legally mandatory (www.marktstammdatenregister.de). Registration with the grid operator has been significantly simplified or partially automated by Solar Package I.
