Disclaimer
The projected annual electricity cost savings of up to €1,797 and a CO₂ reduction of approx. 3,932 kg are model-based estimates derived from the following parameters and calculation models:
Fundamentals of Electricity Generation
Based on data from the proprietary MARSTEK EMS platform, a 1,000 Wp solar module in Southern Europe generates up to 1,160 kWh annually. With a maximum PV input power of 4,000 Wp for this product, the theoretical generation is 4,640 kWh/year. The calculated annual storage throughput is approximately 5,606.4 kWh (15.36 kWh capacity × 365 days).
Calculation Assumptions
- Self-consumption rate: 85% (reference value).
- Electricity price (fixed): €0.40/kWh.
- Price advantage (AI optimization): €0.132/kWh (difference between peak and off-peak tariffs).
- CO₂ factor: 0.997 kg CO₂ savings per 1 kWh of solar power.
Calculation Details
- Annual savings: Sum of self-consumption (4,640 kWh × 85% × €0.40) and AI-optimized charging management ((5,606.4 kWh − 3,944 kWh) × €0.132) ≈ €1,797.
- CO₂ balance: 4,640 kWh × 85% × 0.997 ≈ 3,932 kg.
Important Note
Actual yields and savings are not a contractual assurance. They depend significantly on local solar radiation, regional electricity prices, individual consumption behavior, and the correct installation and orientation of the devices.
Legal Notices (Germany)
To benefit from the simplified regulations for plug-in generation systems according to § 8 para. 5a EEG, the following limits apply:
- The total installed PV capacity must not exceed 2,000 Wp.
- The inverter apparent power must be ≤ 800 VA.
If your system exceeds these limits, the regular requirements of the grid operator apply. This may include, among other things, extended registration, a meter modification, or formal approval procedures. Please inform yourself about the locally applicable regulations before installation.
Registration & Installation:
Plug & Play solar systems can generally be installed and connected independently in Germany. Registration in the Market Master Data Register (MaStR) is legally mandatory (www.marktstammdatenregister.de). Registration with the grid operator has been significantly simplified or partially automated by Solar Package I.
