FAQ
How does the Venus C/E work?
How can you control the input/output of the Venus C/E?
Which smart meters are compatible with the Venus C/E?
What charging methods does the Venus C/E support?
On the other hand, the Venus Energycube can also be charged by connecting to the same phase as the PV system. The maximum charging power is also 2500 W here.
Can the capacity of the Venus C/E be expanded?
Disclaimer:
The estimated electricity cost savings are calculated using the following formula:
1. Venus C as a solar storage system (saves you even more on electricity purchases)
A single Venus C stores up to 2.56 kWh of solar power per day – with four units, you have a storage capacity of 10.24 kWh. That's enough to cover almost the entire daily electricity needs of an average household (e.g., for a refrigerator, washing machine, lighting, and television) with solar power. Assuming 300 sunny days per year and an average electricity price of €0.35 per kWh.
1. Daily stored electricity (4 devices): 2.56 kWh × 4 = 10.24 kWh
2. Annual savings: 10.24 kWh × €0.35/kWh × 300 days ≈ €1,075
2. Venus C in electricity trading (buy cheap, sell expensive – double advantage)
With four Venus C devices, you can charge more electricity at low prices (e.g., €0.20/kWh) and supply correspondingly more during peak periods (e.g., €0.50/kWh) – without any extra effort. Each device only needs about 3.2 hours to discharge, so all four devices can easily complete a full trading cycle within a single day.
1. Daily electricity consumption for retail (4 devices): 2.56 kWh × 4 = 10.24 kWh
2. Annual advantage: (€0.50 – €0.20) × 10.24 kWh × 365 days ≈ €1,138
Legal notice (Germany)
To benefit from the simplified exemption rules for plug-and-play solar power systems according to Section 8 Paragraph 5a EEG 2023:
- The installed PV capacity must be < 2000 Wp.
- The apparent power of the inverter must be ≤ 800 VA P. If your total PV output exceeds 2000 Wp, additional requirements may apply.
the network operator, e.g.:
a) Registration
b) Obligation to modify the meter
c) Formal approval procedures: Please inform yourself about the applicable local regulations before installation.
Plug & Play solar systems can generally be installed independently. However, in Germany, registration in the MaStR portal (www.marktstammdatenregister.de) is mandatory.
Commissioning and grid connection must be carried out by certified professionals. An electrician is legally required to ensure compliance with all regulations.
